One Motorcycle at a Time
Shift Disturbers is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and young adults.
In 2024, Barrie Harley-Davidson donated a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan as the first motorcycle for participants to transform. The group breathed new life into the motorcycle and named it “Blue Lightning”.
People enrolled in the program gained technical expertise, soft skills, confidence, and a profound sense of achievement. Each individual received personalized attention in a nurturing and supportive environment.

What you get in our program
You’ll get to work on real bikes, picking up valuable trade skills, while also diving into important topics like leadership, communication, empathy, and ownership. These skills will not only help you get ready for job opportunities or further education but also connect you with your community in a positive way.
We are proud to provide participants with a living wage to support their involvement, along with coverage for transportation expenses and refreshments. We can’t wait for you to join us and see how this experience can make a difference in your life.
